Waffles

Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Waffles can't get any better than this!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 4 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 2 tablespoons White Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 ½ cups Warm Milk
  • 1/3 cup Butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Almond Extract

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • Hand Mixer
  • Waffle iron

Method

  1. Preheat waffle iron according to the manufacturer's directions.
  2. Spray the waffle iron with cooking spray (if needed).
  3. Whisk together the flour, salt, baking powder and sugar; set aside. 
    2 cups All-Purpose Flour, 1 teaspoon Salt, 4 teaspoons Baking Powder, 2 tablespoons White Sugar
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with a hand mixer on medium-low.

  5. Add the milk, butter, and almond extract to the egg mixture. Beat on medium-low.
    1 ½ cups Warm Milk, 1/3 cup Butter, melted, 1 teaspoon Almond Extract
  6. Pour the milk mixture onto the flour mixture; mix by hand just until blended.
  7. Pour small amounts of the batter into the preheated waffle iron. 
  8. Cook the waffles until they are golden and crisp.

Notes

These waffles are so good served without any toppings. For an extra special treat, top them with whipped cream and fresh fruit chunks.
