Method
- Prepare the tuna salad in a small dish, according to your favorite recipe. Set aside.
- Spread butter on one side of a piece of bread.
- Lay the bread, butter-side down, in a warm skillet.
- Top the bread with a tablespoon or two of the tuna salad mixture and smooth evenly over the bread.
- Top with a slice of cheese.
- Butter another slice of bread and put it on top of the cheese, butter-side facing up.
- Grill the sandwich until light brown.
- Carefully flip the sandwich and grill until the second side is golden brown.
Notes
Any tuna salad recipe will work for this. I usually just do a simple tuna, mayo, salt, and pepper. Sometimes I'll also add a little onion powder.
