Dill Biscuits

With only six ingredients and no rising, who knew making bread for dinner could be this easy!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons cold butter, cubed
  • 1 cup fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 1 cup whole milk

Equipment

  • Medium bowl
  • Pastry cutter
  • Cookie Sheet

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
    2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt
  3. Cut in the butter with your fingers or a pastry cutter until the mixture is crumbly.
    4 tablespoons cold butter, cubed
  4. Stir in the dill.
    1 cup fresh dill, finely chopped
  5. Add the milk and stir just until everything comes together.
    1 cup whole milk
  6. Leaving about an inch between each biscuit, drop spoonfuls of the dough onto an ungreased or parchment-lined cookie sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or just until the biscuits start to brown.

Notes

Most of the time, you can get away with using dried herbs instead of fresh ones in recipes. Not this time! Fresh dill is the secret ingredient that takes these biscuits from good to wow!
