Fruit Salad Yummy Yummy!

This is the best fruit salad recipe you’ll ever try…I promise.

how to make fruit salad

Ingredients

one cup of sliced bananas
one cup of sliced strawberries
one cup of diced fresh pineapple
one cup of diced oranges
half a cup of miniature marshmallows
a quarter cup of sweetened coconut flakes

Directions

Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl. Cover and chill for twenty to thirty minutes before serving.

This recipe is versatile. If you want more strawberries…add more. If you want more fresh pineapple…add more.

Be sure to use fresh pineapple. The pineapple in cans doesn’t offer enough goodness for this recipe. And, try not to use the core from the pineapple. You want the tender, melt-in-your-mouth part of the pineapple.

You’ll want your strawberries to be firm, yet sweet.

When dicing your oranges, remove the seeds and bitter white parts from the flesh.

You don’t need a dressing for this salad because the acid in the pineapple helps break down the mini marshmallows into a perfect gooey sauce to cover the fruit.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup Strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup Fresh Pineapple, diced
  • 1 cup Oranges, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup Miniature Marshmallows
  • 1/4 cup Sweetened Coconut Flakes

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl

Method

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
    1 cup Bananas, sliced, 1 cup Strawberries, sliced, 1 cup Fresh Pineapple, diced, 1 cup Oranges, peeled and diced, 1/2 cup Miniature Marshmallows, 1/4 cup Sweetened Coconut Flakes
  2. Cover and chill for 20-30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Fresh pineapple is the only way to go in this recipe. Canned pineapple isn’t sweet enough.  
You’ll want your strawberries and bananas to be firm and ripe.
