Camp Stew
jump to the recipe card
Camp stew is a quick and easy one-pot meal. The longest part of this recipe is browning the ground beef. Once the beef is done, dinner is on the table in no time at all.
This has been a favorite recipe of ours for a long time. We call it camp stew because it’s the dinner Tabitha’s scouting troop had during their first campout together. All of the girls loved it!
When I was teaching preschool and daycare, even the pickiest eaters got excited when I told them we were having camp stew for lunch. I’ve even had parents ask for the recipe because their kids were so excited about it and couldn’t wait to share it with their families.
time saver
To save time with this recipe, you can chop the bell pepper and onion ahead of time and store them in the refrigerator. When it’s time to make dinner, just pour them into the pan with the raw ground beef and cook until the beef is brown.
camp stew sides
I like to serve this recipe with crackers and a side salad.
