Porridge
A warm breakfast for a cold morning that can be cooked in the microwave or on the stove.
Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cup rolled oats
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup water
- 1 dash salt
Instructions
- Microwave – Place all ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl. Cook on high for approximately ten minutes, or until the oatmeal is thick.
- Stovetop – Place all ingredients in a heavy-bottomed pot. Cook over medium heat until thick.
Notes
Instead of brown sugar, try this porridge with maple syrup or honey.
Top with fresh or frozen fruit after cooking to give it an extra boost of nutrition.
